TI-Nspire CX with CAS.

why
![]() 10/27/2016 at 11:59 |

I have an HP 50g. Havent used it in a while though. what ganes are you going to inevitably run on it?
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:00 |

Minesweeper.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:00 |
|
BECAUSE SO MUCH DAMN MATH.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:00 |

Wait
As someone who has stuck with a TI-89 for many years, what new features does this have
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:01 |
|
You call that a beast of a calculator??
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:02 |
|
Oh man, you can call in close air support? Nice!
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:04 |
|
So when are you going to play Doom?
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:05 |
|
The Nspire has a more powerful CPU and it does 3D color graphs. It has a trackpad under the screen. I also like the GUI better, but that’s just me.

selling drugs is easier and pays more :]
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:06 |
|
If by “Doom” you mean integral calculus, then yes.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:07 |
|
You’d still need an accountant.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:09 |
|
The sensor packages that are available also look cool.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:10 |
|
Nah. Like this
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:12 |
|
The TI-89 was calculus Jesus for me.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:12 |
|
.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:16 |
|
The command to do so is: “BRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT”
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:18 |
|
IT DOES DOOM! Where was this when I was in high school
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:19 |
|
I’m hyped about this. I wanna play doom on my calculator
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:19 |
|
Fun fact, Jesús has a Masters in Mathematics from UAM.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:26 |

bags with money signs on them are not too difficult to count
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:29 |
|
I envy you.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:30 |
|
Does this mean the prices on the Ti-89 have come down?
*checks
Nope >:(
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:31 |
|
I have the best calculators, the BEST!
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:33 |
|
Crooked Hillary only has the TI-84 plus. Sad!
Good old TI-84+ has carried me through all maths and main ME courses. Hint *you can put notes and equations on it if you’re feeling spicy*
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:35 |
|
My chem professor erases everyone’s graphing calculators before quizzes or tests. She doesn’t know how to operate TI-Nspire calculators, so she skips mine every time. Talk about spicy!
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:38 |
|
I would have killed a prof that erased my 86 or 83+. I had programmed better intercept and quadratic solvers than what came with it. (I was really bored when I was in school).
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:40 |
|
I go to a state school and they don’t do that. I guess its in their policy not to touch our shit. I’ve hidden them in the program sections with funny names like; TARS, CASE, LS2, LM4, E38, HL3, and OSX.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:40 |
|
So get a TI-Nspire!
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:43 |
|
TARS and CASE? Nice!
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:47 |
|
It’s got a discretion setting too.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:48 |
|
I rocked the TI-83 (maybe plus). Still have it in a drawer by my desk. I remember making programs, storing equations, and playing games.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 12:53 |
|
You are familiar with TARS’ instagram, yes? (This is me, linking to Instragram, for the first time ever: https://www.instagram.com/tarsofficial/?hl=en ).
![]() 10/27/2016 at 13:17 |

Your calculator has Close Air Support??!?
![]() 10/27/2016 at 13:18 |
|
TI = no RPN
piece of crap. one star
![]() 10/27/2016 at 13:23 |
|
IF I CAN’T MANUALLY SELECT MY CONVERGENCE TESTS THEN I’M NOT GOING TO BUY IT.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 13:23 |

Computer-Aided Spinach.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 13:31 |
|
LISTEN: ok
![]() 10/27/2016 at 13:33 |
|
Naturally
![]() 10/27/2016 at 14:19 |
|
Exactly. RPN or GTFO.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 14:30 |
|
But you need a TI for drug wars .
![]() 10/27/2016 at 14:35 |
|
lol :]
![]() 10/27/2016 at 14:38 |
|
No, I’ll look at it
![]() 10/27/2016 at 19:14 |
|
Ah the magical Ti Calculator that is actually capable of doing most of your homework for you assuming you know how to use it. Its been my experience that learning how to do it on the calculator is generally harder than learning how to do it by hand.
“If you don’t know how to use all the buttons on your calculator you shouldn’t be able to sleep at night.” Dr. White
I say that to my students all the time and mock their ability to do basic math.
![]() 10/27/2016 at 19:16 |
|
It’ll cut out the tedium in doing my homework, that’s for sure. I’ve already mastered algebra to the point where I can do it in my sleep (literally)
![]() 10/27/2016 at 19:20 |
|
Fair enough, its overkill in the high school setting and I would much rather use Matlab anyway.
But do you recite definite integrals in your sleep yet?
![]() 10/27/2016 at 20:10 |
|
Not at the moment.

Close Air Support on a calculator would open all sorts of job opportunities.
